Joshua was born in Sutton Coldfield where he attended The Arthur Terry School. Past alumni includes writer, Claire Downes (Big Talk/ITV 'The Job Lot') and West-End star Jeremy Taylor ('Wicked', 'We Will Rock You') to name a few.

During his time at school, Joshua was a keen member of the Round Midnight Youth Theatre, performed alongside the Birmingham Royal Ballet at The Rep and attended workshops with Mary Hammond at The Royal Academy of Music. After a gap-year, in which he worked as a performing arts instructor, Joshua finally moved to London in 2008, receiving a scholarship to attend The Arts Educational Schools London.

Throughout training, Joshua appeared in graduate productions of 'Footloose', 'Grand Hotel' and 'Spring Awakening', the latter transferring for a short, but well-received run at The Rose Theatre, Kingston, as well performing in the West End's Theatre Royal Drury Lane, twice, for both the 'Oliver Awards' and 'Broadway to West End'.  In addition, his day-to-day training provided an opportunity to work with the some of the industry's most exciting professionals, including: Michael Arden, Alistair David, Gavin Creel, Bill Deamer, Paul Foster, Jonathan Groff, Caroline Humphris, Russell Labey, Drew Mconie, Jon Robyns, Danielle Tarento, Harriet Thorpe, Gareth Valentine and Andrew Wright.

In 2011, Joshua graduated and signed with United Agents, having received a BA (Hons) Degree and a National Diploma in Musical Theatre. His first professional credit was that year, in 'Dames at Sea' at The Union Theatre.

From then on, Joshua has worked both internationally, ('Aladdin', 'The Sound of Music') and in London ('Jack and the Beanstalk', 'The Dreaming'). He played Melchior Gabor in 'Spring Awakening' (The Broadway Theatre) and Rolf Gruber in the x2 Olivier-nominated production of the 'The Sound of Music', at the beautiful Regent's Park Open Air Theatre.

Joshua teaches for both Stagecoach Theatre Arts and Dramacademy, using his knowledge to teach young people skills in drama, music and dance, as well communication and confidence.

Currently, Joshua is writing his first, feature-length screenplay, with pre-production set to begin in early 2016. Watch this space for more information on this exciting, new project.
